Self Portrait #31

Keeping Film Photography Alive.

Matthew J. Joehnk was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.

One day he discovered a vintage Voigtländer Bessamatic 35mm Camera from the year 1959, which started his passion for photography.  The weight and quality created an immediate appeal.

Later Matthew moved to analog medium format photography, where the preparation and restriction to create each photograph helped to push his creativity.

Working with medium format film cameras like the Voigtländer Bessa or Rolleiflex models from the 1920's and 30's, gives the desired look and feel when creating each image.
